    Nursery

    6 weeks - 12 months

In our nursery classroom we strive to support children in their learning environments to enable each individual to meet their milestones, whilst building meaningful relationships with their educators and peers. Our nursery room follows individual routines and allows all children to eat, rest and engage in meaningful relationships throughout the day.

    Toddlers

    1 - 2 years

In our toddlers room our educators provide a safe and stimulating environment for exploring and play. We support learning by engaging the children in sensory activities, encouraging social interactions and foster language with songs and stories.

    Pre-Kinder

    2 - 3 years

Our Pre-Kinder room focuses on building connections with each other to form positive and meaningful friendships. We assist each child in learning how to self regulate to assist in discovering their individual needs and emotions. Forming these positive interactions assists in setting the children up to begin their Kinder years.

    Junior Kinder

    3 - 4 years

Our Junior Kinder room supports children in hands on learning experiences and starting the foundation of learning to equip each individual in becoming Kinder ready. Providing hands on activities, encouraging independent exploration whilst promoting social skills through group play enhances a child's learning and assists in providing the skills the children need to begin the school readiness program.

    Kinder

    4 - 5 years

Our kinder classroom is set up for children to reach their full potential using high quality resources whilst following a curriculum based on the children's voices and interests. We strongly believe implementing an effective school readiness program assists our children in a smooth, successful transition into school whilst having the tools they require to be confident and involved learners.

    Frequently Asked Questions

We provide most of the essentials that may be needed throughout the day. We ask that you pack and label; spare clothes, water bottle, comfort items/dummies. And if your child requires a sleeping bag, milk bottles, formula, or breast milk.

We offer orientation sessions for families to come along before the first day to have a short play with us. These sessions are usually close to the first day and act as a good lead in. It gives you, your child, and the educators time to get to know each other and the opportunity to ask any questions or provide important information. These sessions are usually organized once enrolment is confirmed, they last for 2 hours and are free of charge. Talking about it at home is also a great way to get your child excited for all the amazing experiences they will get to be a part of.

Be positive! Make the drop off a happy experience and take a few minutes to help your child to settle in. The mornings can be busy, but taking some time to find an activity your child enjoys and saying goodbye can help for a smoother start to their day. There will always be a warm and caring educator on hand to help. You are always welcome to give the centre a call after you have left for an update.

The educator to child ratio varies depending on state and territory, we meet or exceed this ratio. 0 to 24 months the ratio is 1:4 in all states and territories. 24 to 36 months the ratio is 1:5 in QLD and SA, and 1:4 in VIC. Over 36 months the ratio is 1:11 in QLD, SA and VIC. You can find out more on the ACECQA website.

It is important to take the time to find a centre where you feel confident and comfortable and know your child will be safe, happy, and protected. Find a centre that provides a learning environment where careful guidance and role modelling by educators can help children become competent, independent and develop valuable life skills. It is also important to consider aspects that will impact your family such as location, cost, and inclusions.

All Mayfield Early Education centres aim to meet or exceed the National Quality Standards and Regulatory requirements of an early childhood service. We regularly update our policies and procedures to ensure that children, family, and educators are aware of their requirements and responsibilities to help keep children in our care happy, safe and protected. Mayfield Seaford is a great modern long daycare centre, friendly staff, clean facilities, great meal choices caters to many requirements, my daughter has enjoyed her time here and there has been no issues. She will miss all her friends and the wonderful educators as she starts school.

Very friendly staff who make you feel at ease leaving your kids here. They engage the kids with meaningful activities and update you daily with what your child has done that particular day. What I love the most is, no matter who is on the early shift, all the staff are aware of your child and what he/she likes or doesn’t like, it makes early drop offs very easy when all staff are aware and familiar with your child’s needs. Keep up the great work :)

My 18mo daughter has been as Mayfield for 4 weeks now and absolutely adores her educators, big hugs for them when she arrives and lots of smiles, the place spaces are clean and lots to do! I’ve found communication very easy and emails are responded to promptly. Out of three kids, this is my first child in care and I’ve found it such an easy transition.
